I provide light-to-medium deep pressure massage. I use a combination of techniques from different modalities to achieve the deepest relaxation and pain relief. Here are the most common techniques I use:
Swedish massage: Long, gliding strokes and kneading
Compression: Rhythmic and sustained pressure
Cupping: Suction cups applied to the skin
Gua Sha: Smooth tools used to gently scrape the muscles
Reflexology: Foot massage of specific points that correspond to different organs and systems of the body
Hot Stone: Hot stones are applied in rhythmic strokes
Aromatherapy: Essential oils inhaled and/or added to your massage oil/lotion

I price my sessions according to what I need to make to sustainably run my business. While massage has historically been considered a βtippedβ industry, many independent business owners are moving away from tipping. This both removes any awkward conversations after our session and helps to establish massage therapy as a legitimate therapeutic practice. The BEST way to show your appreciation is to leave a Google review!!! π

[Detailed description of the building and room].
My table is 73 inches long and 30 inches wide and has a 750 lb maximum working weight capacity. (This is the total weight the table can support plus pressure applied by the therapist.) I have a table heater that can be turned on and off according to your needs and comfort. I typically keep my table at a height of 33β but I can lower it to a minimum of 23β if needed.
Your session can be performed entirely prone (laying on your tummy), supine (laying on your back) or side-lying with bolsters and support. I can assist you with getting on or off the table at the beginning/end of your session if needed, but I cannot assist with full transfers. You can bring someone to assist you with transferring onto the table if needed.
If you are in a wheelchair, I can provide massage for you while you are in your chair. Please reach out to me before scheduling so we can discuss further!
If you are ill or disabled and unsure if massage would be safe and beneficial for you, please discuss this with your doctor before scheduling. I would love to work with you but your safety is my first priority!
At this time, I do not perform pregnancy or oncology massage. I am happy to refer you to a qualified massage therapist for these services!

Absolutely! I welcome people of all genders, sexualities, body types, and cultural identities.

Your session will begin with a 10-15 minute intake during which you will fill out a health history form and other paperwork. Then, we will sit down and talk about what you're looking to achieve during your massage. You will tell me if any areas are off-limits. Then, I will leave the room and allow you to undress to your comfort level and get on the table and under the sheets. Most people undress to their underwear, but itβs OK to be completely nude or leave some clothing on. I will knock and come back in the room and start the session. No area of your body will be undraped except the area that Iβm currently working on. Your nipples, crack, and groin area will NEVER be undraped. At the end of the session, I will leave the room and allow you to redress, then we will discuss how your session went and process payment at the end.

You should arrive showered and clean. I recommend wearing loose clothing. You do NOT need to shave or otherwise alter your natural body to prepare for a massage.
-
Of course! I will follow your lead for how much or little to talk during the session. Most people prefer to be quiet to relax as much as possible but it is up to you.

Absolutely! I take this as a compliment π

Your massage may be uncomfortable at times, but should not be painful. If you are ever in pain or discomfort please let me know immediately and I will adjust my pressure or stop working on that area right away.
There is a misconception that βno pain, no gainβ when it comes to massage. If you are in pain you are going to tense up your muscles which will ultimately make it more difficult to achieve releases.

Massage can make your muscles looser and more pliable, which can make them more susceptible to injury immediately after massage. Itβs best to wait 24 hours for intense exercise to both feel the full benefits of your session and reduce the potential for injury. Gentle exercise after a massage is generally okay, but listen to your body and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
